According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

The way Chaikel's post was worded, it sounded like there was some kind of inside joke going on.

If I book a reservation now with my Hyatt Diamond membership but it expires in a week, would the Diamond status still stick with the reservation despite me being downgraded from the Diamond tier?

can anyone confirm that a diamond at time of application but not when the first spend is made will get 2 free suite nights?

Hyatt Chase Card- Churning

Has anyone here successfully churned the Hyatt Chase card? If so, did you use your existing Hyatt number or create a new one and then have them combined?

Haven't heard of anyone attempting to churn this card yet.
Typically with Chase you should close out the previous card before churning but I think I want to keep this card so that's why I didn't include it in my latest 3BM.

What is the Chase history with churning? I thought you couldn't get the bonus again with them. Am I mistaken?

If you cancel and reapply you'll have the card again. Assuming you are not attempting to accumulate Hyatt points, what could be the reason not to churn?

I had the card and closed it down because I decided with the yearly fee it wasn't worth it for me but now with the free night a year benefit I'd like to get it again. I still haven't used my 2 free nights. How would you recommend to try churning the card? Should I open a seperate Hyatt account? Will they combine them for me later on?

along the same vein, anyone have any success in getting Chase to waive the annual fee or provide a retention bonus for paying it with this card?

I've got 9 active Chase credit cards after my latest 3BM.  Nothing is certain at this point :)

They shut me down after getting three... then again, I did that all in a 4 month period... How long have you been with a Chase CC?

Indeed. (A legacy WAMU account.)

Ah, I knew I shouldnt have used "shut down." Shame on me.

What I meant to say is that Chase prevented me from opening any more than three CC accounts.

(I had tried for four.)

I want to try churning this card but I want to use my current Hyatt number so I get two free SUITES and not just standard rooms. Any CHANCE of that working? Or should I not even bother?

I wouldn't even bother trying with the same #. But if you do, let us know how it goes!
