According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

That's funny because when I called yesterday, the customer service lady didn't make that recommendation
sometimes they recommend it, sometimes they have to put you on hold to verify if you can.

If using points or a free standard night, can one pay to upgrade to a suite?

There's a price for pretty much everything in this world.

Indeed :)

Is that standard across the brand, though?

I heard this was offered to someone I know recently, I don't remember the numbers but it wasa ripoff rate, would've been cheaper with points.

So does anyone know for sure whether I can use the Chase Hyatt card to get the standard rooms (I'm not Hyatt Diamond right now) and then use 110000 hyatt points per night to upgrade to the suite?

110,000 points per night will do quite a lot ;)
However 11,000 points per night for an upgrade is doubtful.
