According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

I sent a message to the "rewards" department via SM and received the following reply:

Dear Elite Flyer,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your Hyatt Credit
Card from Chase.

Our records indicate that your account was opened with an
offer to receive 1 Free Awards Night after the first
purchase and 1 free night after $1,000 in purchases within
93 days of the account open date. The offer to receive an
additional $75 statement credit was for customers who had
made a reservation online with Hyatt and opened the Chase
credit card account the same day. If you have met this
criteria, please provide us with the location of the Hyatt
Hotel so that we may confirm the booking date to compare
that with your application date.

If it is determined that a hotel booking was made on the
date of your application we will be happy to honor your
request for the $75 statement credit. If a hotel booking
was not made or was not done on the same date of the
application, we are unable to honor the request for the
statement credit.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

So I wrote back again. Here is the correspondence:
" Dear ******,

It appears that you are mistaken as to the offer with
which I signed up for the Hyatt card. As a platinum
member, I received 2 nights after my first purchase on the
card. I have since achieved Diamond status with Hyatt.

For your reference, my most recent reservation was at the
Grand Hyatt Kauai. Additionally, please find attached a
copy of the offer which details the $75 statement credit.
There is no requirement that the application be made in
conjunction with a Hyatt Reservation. On either basis, I
would respectfully request that you accommodate this offer
for my recently opened card.

Thank you for your consideration,

Elite Flyer"

Here's what I got this morning:

"Dear Elite Flyer,

Thank you for contacting Chase about 9***.

I have received your recent inquiry, and I am happy to
advise you that I have credited the $75.00 annual fee. You
will see this adjustment reflecting on one of your next
two billing statements.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

One thing that remains unclear, is whether the statement credit was awarded on the basis of my recent stay, or based on the fact that the offer specifies no reservation requirement to qualify for the statement credit. Either way, I was happy to receive the credit.

Well, unless you fulfilled:

" The offer to receive an additional $75 statement credit was for customers who had made a reservation online with Hyatt and opened the Chase credit card account the same day. "

then it would seem it is based on the latter.

True, but it may be that the verification of that requirement is not possible, and the agent only looks to whether you placed a reservation which could have been made on the day of application. In this case, the reservation was indeed made in close proximity to the sign-up date.

I personally haven't seen that requirement on a Hyatt card application, but I'd bet that if something like that exists its verifiable.

If so, you think a Chase Rep is able to see that you made a RSVP but not when that RSVP was made? Highly doubtful IMHO.

just want to share my experience,

I sent an SM after getting a hyatt card last week requesting a match to this offer, i received the same generic response as EliteFlyer and

the others, i responded with this:

Dear Sancho,
Thank you for your prompt reply, it is my contention that
may have confused the offer i am talking about with
another, the offer i am talking about includes no hint of
a stipulation as to a hyatt booking made on the day of the
credit card offer.
please take a good look at the terms and conditions of the
included link, thank you for your continued consideration!
Steeeveknowsbest

I got this response today;

Dear Steeeveknowsbest,

Thank you for contacting Chase about ****.

I have received your recent inquiry, and I am happy to
advise you that once the $75 annual fee is assessed it
will be reversed on one of the follow two billing
statements.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

So basically ya gotta be persistent!

Also interestingly i got the "no" and the "yes" from the same two people as EliteFlyer did.

Obviously. Just curious why no one has tried this before. Am I missing something? Why would this not work like UA?
