According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

Can I have papa to apply for the Hyatt card and I use the free nights or names have to match at checkin?

You can add your name to the reservation but there have been experiences where people checked in and they requested for the main name to check in. YMMV.

There are no guarantees, but with the same lastname you have even less of a problem IMHO, I wouldn't take the warnings too seriously, though I'd be cautious when checking in (i.e. second person on the res should check in alone).

For anyone trying this (ever, at all), that should be a given.

There's only humble opinions here, no concrete experience.
I can't afford to arrive at the property after a few hours of travel and they'll say NO! You're not allowed to use it, I doubt it'll help me saying 'yeah, but in AsherO's humble opinion that shouldn't be a problem, you know that guy with the highest post count on DDF? Yes, he told me that!'

I'm not sure what more you're looking for. In addition to being told by both AsherO and me, countless people on DDF have sold their nights and the buyers have used them without incident.

For the right price, I'm sure AsherO would hold your hand (for moral and intellectual support) as you sheepishly approach the Hyatt check-in agent to use your Abba's free nights.

Thanks AJK! That's the answer I was looking for! That people here had no problem using someone else's deer nights! Thanks.
When I do the reservation, I should reserve it for my name? It'll simply go through?

+1, we've done it, but we won't guarantee you it'll work because it's officially against the rules and thus YMMV. I don't think you'll have a problem, but if the person booking and/or the person checking in says something wrong, or if you have a machshefa at check-in, you might have trouble.

P.s. @AJK, I don't remember ever retaining you to speak on my behalf :P

With the market the way it is nowadays, it may make sense to do the work first, ask for payment later :P

Hyatt Chase Card - 2 Nights Free plus $75 statement credit
« Reply #689 on: May 30, 2012, 01:17:37 PM »
The Chase Hyatt card now offers 2 free nights plus a $75 statement credit after the first purchase.  The annual fee is still $75, but now the credit obviously makes it free for the first year.

Here is the link: https://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/chase/ICOffer.jsp

I signed up without the $75 credit, but was able to match this deal after some back and forth with Chase.
