According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

He needs the night with Hilton.
Meant that. FTFM. Thanks.
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

Is there any reports of successful churning the Hyatt card (or a definite report otherwise)?

Its kinda weird that such a valuable card is not really tested.

Trouble:

First I got this email from Hyatt:

Unfortunately, I am unable to process the request as the competitor
statement must indicate your name, tier status and at least one stay in
the last 12 months.

So I did this:

Quote
Book a refundable night. I think that's possible with Hilton.

But it still doesn't appear on my Hilton account until I actually stay there. Any thoughts?

Find a cheap Hilton to stay in.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Find a cheap Hilton to stay in.

Currently, after googling around, the cheapest I found was in Egypt for $55.

1) Does anyone know of a cheaper one?

2) Is it worth $55 (plus tax I assume) to upgrade to Hyatt Diamond before applying for the card?

You need someone to check in.

On this note, is there a way to search Hyatt (not Hilton) rates by calendar?

Also, if not, any other ideas?

Are there other cards I can achieve status in?

Yes.  Especially if you travel with kids.

Well, if I have to check in, then it has to be near NYC, and nothing nearby is less than $100. And I'm not travelling with kids.

I didn't say "you" had to check in.  There are no guarantees it will work.

Just a thought,

Any chance I can get one card, book 2 free nights, book 2 paid nights and upgrade to suite with Hyatt Platinum status, and then get my wife a card and try to "replace" the suite nights with her free nights? Might they bite on that?

Any other ideas?

How does Hilton gold match diamond at Hyatt? I'm currently a platinum member and they won't upgrade me to diamond. ( already asked nicely)

Do you have any stays in your account? Did they give you a reason why not?
