According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

They will not.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Another data point- applied on 12/19, received card 12/30ish. Spent the $1k on 1/2, received free nights on 1/8.

I have a reservation open that I would like to convert to free nights, should I do this through the hotel or the gold passport line? Are they going to give me any trouble tying to combine 4 nights in a row (2 from me, 2 from the wife)?
Were you able to combine the nights?

On the apllication site it says this as bonus for sign up.
Diamond Members
2 Free Nights in a Suite

Platinum Members
 2 Free Nights & 2 Suite Upgrades

New and Current
Hyatt Gold Passport Members
 2 Free Nights

Can you use the 2 free night with 2 suite upgrades thereby making your signup bonus the same as diamond?

I'm assuming you know about status match. AFAIK that's the only "easy" way.

Chase just told me that i can reject my card as long as i didnt activate it yet and it will not effect my credit score as it will not show as canceled card. (does this make sense?) Anyone know if i do the rejection can i sign up right away again for the card (doing this to get the 100$ offer and to get the platinum trial first for upgrades)?

I never heard of that, but I guess it makes sense. (The account takes time to show up on your report, so if you cancel before it never even posted, then I guess it won't ever post)

The inquiry will still remain, and that's something to be concerned about if you plan on applying for another card right away.

Regarding affecting your credit score - canceled cards don't really affect your score unless you don't move over the CL beforehand.

Besides the score q what is the rule in regards to getting another one right away? Also what about the rules from Hyatt in regards to three nights only to "new" card members?

Is the $140 at the nearest Hilton worth the upgrade to Diamond? For use at the GH Kaui this summer.
