According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

Is the $140 at the nearest Hilton worth the upgrade to Diamond? For use at the GH Kaui this summer.

Would you pay $70 a night to get upgraded to a suite?

Plus other benefits as well. It might be.

Did you apply for the card with a fee waived link or did you have to SM?

You got the anual fee waived plus $100?
Besides the score q what is the rule in regards to getting another one right away? Also what about the rules from Hyatt in regards to three nights only to "new" card members?
and whats 3 nights isnt it 2 nights?

Extending the expiration on Chase Hyatt award nights
« Reply #1106 on: March 07, 2013, 04:42:58 PM »
Hi All -

Apologies if this has been addressed before - I searched but did not come up with anything that seemed to be relevant.

Does anyone know if there is a away to extend the expiration on the 2 free award nights that you get for signing up for the Chase Hyatt card?  I called Hyatt and they said that it was up to chase.  Wanted to know if anyone has had success doing this?  I used one last night but the second one expires at the end of this month and it is unlikely that I will use it.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!

I just got approved for the hyatt  CC a few days ago , right away got charged the 75$ AF .
I did not get my card yet but when i logged in to chase i saw my Hyatt account is closed and they refunded the 75$ AF .
So i called Chase and they told me that the card was returned to them (us post  :-\ ) so they closed the account , but a supervisor re-opened the account and i will receive the card in a few days .
do you guys think they will charge me again the 75$ AF ?
+ i signed up with the 100$ statement  after first purchase  :)

Is there any reason to keep this card open?
I know you get a free night yearly, but why not close it a churn the card to get the 2 free nights at a cat6?

It's a process to churn correctly and YMMV.

Please note that the offer to receive the $100 statement,
which I have confirmed you received, and the offer for the
$75 first year annual fee waiver are two separate offers.
Each offer is a one-time bonus offer and are valid only
for first-time Hyatt Card cardmembers with new accounts
and customers can only apply for one.

We must be consistent in applying the terms of our
contract. To make exceptions would not be equitable to our
other Cardmembers.
We hope, therefore, that you can
understand our position.

I was expecting to be denied. But this language takes it to a whole new level. Is offer matching coming to an end?
