According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

Sorry for asking a real noob question, never done this before so I just wanna clarify,

1) I'm looking to book the GHK in january, if I have two free nights from 3 different cards for a total of 6 nights can they be merged together for one stay? & do I do it on the phone before I arrive or at check in.

2)If I get a Diamond challenge when should I request to be upgraded ?.

TIA
all the card were in your name?

You can book it under his name and add yourself as guest

We're booked at the GHK in June for 6 nights. 2 nights are (supposed to be) DH's award suite nights, 2 nights are my regular room award nights, and 2 nights are cash and points, which we wanted to use suite upgrades towards.

There was a mistake on our reservation due to switching dates on one of our nights, and our suite night ended up being booked as a paid stay in a regular room. We called the hotel and they said they have no garden suites available to use for our free suite night. They wouldn't budge on upgrading us to an ocean suite. The rep said I should call Gold Passport to see if they could adjust it, but since they had no garden suites available, GP only offered to book our suite night in a regular room.

I'm doing the diamond challenge now, but that didn't seem to help any. Shouldn't they at least be upgrading us to an ocean suite for our paid stays using the suite upgrades? Does anyone have any recommendations? We don't want to waste a suite night in a regular room, but we don't want to pay the full rate either. We're out of points to use cash & points as well. Help?

Not a blanket statement. He asked if the card can be churned, not how to churn.
