According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

Sure you can.
you should not make blanket statements like that.......... have u heard of a single person applying with the same hyatt number twice and getting the bonus both times?

Not a blanket statement. He asked if the card can be churned, not how to churn.

Yup. Just add your name to the reservation.

The question seemed pretty straight forward. He didnt imply there was more to the story. That being said I've used my points, my mother's and a grandfather's all on one reservation at the GHK and didn't have a problem.  They even connected the reservations on their own.
YMMV.

I tried opening a new hyatt goldpassport account and it said that an account already exists with that address. Any suggestions? Tx

+1 I made a reservation with my free nights and my wife's free nights and they added them to the same reservation without asking, plus added a 5th night with her points.
I called up and everything is under name, I didn't even have to "pretend" to be my wife. Can't remember why we didn't put it all under my name, but nonetheless, my nights were reserved under someone else's name.

Don't know myb821 too well (clearly you've been around the forums for a while, though) but you've been quick to jump on people in this thread today.

You'll need to use a new address to create the new HGP #.

Don't know. I you have patience to search through the thread, you may find that Q already asked. There must be some shtick if someone churns this card often as there's only X amount of addresses people could be associated with, I would think.

Points can also be transferred to anyone for free.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

+1 I used that in my situation, too. I transferred my ~1000 points from my spend on the card to my wife so that we needed to send 1000 less UR to her Hyatt account when topping hers off. Even though you needed to fill out an old school PDF form and email it to them, it was likely the fastest point transfer I ever did.

The point im trying to make is that he is trying to combine his two free nigths with his wifes and his fathers. His and his Wifes no problem but how do you explain that your father wont be there. The certs are not transferable so yea if you were just using your fathers you could check in and see he is coming later but when you are using three different peoples certs............ not so pashut

If I made a booking while keeping the card open in the hopes of getting Plat benefits, but then closed the card before my stay, would I still get the benefits or does the card need to be open?

Does the $50 statement credit count towards 1k spending threshold?
(Ie do I have to spend $1050 or just 1k?)
