According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

Try and get the nights extended 1 month and use it at the new Park Hyatt New York?
Anyone else call in to see when the next time there is availability? I called regarding motzei shabbos and Sunday, they said late October was first availability.

so a cash value of at least 400?

so if i'm staying in a hyatt that has a cash value rate of 170, 12000 UR or my free night, the 12k UR is the best option?

Depends what he can get for his UR. If he can get anything over 1.4, then yes.

Dear Efflpetzel,

Thank you for contacting Chase about the $50.00 statement
credit offer.

Our records indicate that your account was opened with an
offer to receive 2 Free Awards Nights after $1,000.00
spent in 103 days from open date. The offer to receive an
additional $50 statement credit was for customers who had
made a reservation online with Hyatt at the same time they
applied for the Hyatt Credit Card account from Chase. If
you have met this criteria, please provide us with the
location of the Hyatt Hotel so that we may confirm the
booking date. Your reservation was done at a later date,
therefore would not qualify.

If it is determined that a hotel booking was made we will
be happy to honor your request for the $50 statement
credit. If a hotel booking was not made or was not done
on the same date of the application, we are unable to
honor the request for the statement credit.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

Her response doesn't even make sense, as the offer pops up when making a reservation and is completely independent of the reservation that you would have in progress.  I don't think there are any terms and conditions that say the reservation has to be made successfully.  Lol

Agreed. I checked the T&C earlier today and IIRC it was pretty clear that the offer is made to ppl booking a reservation, but does not require the reservation to be booked in order to get the credit.

It says "This bonus offer is for new cardmembers who respond to this instant credit offer on hyatt.com and first apply for the Hyatt Credit Card through hyatt.com as part of making a reservation." I think that means you have to book a room. I assume that means you could book a refundable room then later cancel it, but it looks like you do have to book it. I tried sending an SM and got the same response, and I just looked at the T&C and thats what it says.

Sure you can.

I waited about 18 months in between apps and while I got the card the second time...they refused to provide the free nights.  I talked to chase a couple of times and they said it's once off promotion and you can not get the free nights a second time around.

...however i'm sure many people on this board have suceeded where I have failed!  8)

Did you use the same HGP #?
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.
