During the upgrade period beginning early this Sunday, February 16, 2025, and expected to be completed through March, the Main Lounge will be closed for hosting, and eligible customers will receive alternative solutions. The persistent TOP PLATINUM customer lounge next to the main lounge, will remain open and continue to host its passengers, when it will also undergo an upgrade and adaptation to a luxurious and modern hosting experience. Business class travelers or PLATINUM status customers, will be able to stay at the new and improved "Dan" lounge in Shipment E in Ben Gurion Airport, which offers a new compound, advanced hospitality services and a quality culinary menu based on the dishes served at the "King David" lounge.
Customers in GOLD status will receive at the check-in phase at Shalom Service counters (counter 100) vouchers for restaurants and cafes that are in order in Ben Gurion Airport, and will allow a hospitality and dining experience also outside the lounge. It will be emphasized that in the case of the Dan Lounge being fully occupied, eligible passengers will be given vouchers to the restaurants and cafes in the order, and that depending on eligibility, companions will also receive a voucher.
The reopening of the "King David" lounge will take place after the upgrade works are completed, and an official announcement of the exact date will be announced later.
