Clawback from reaching threshold using AP possible?
« on: September 01, 2013, 02:16:57 PM »
I have this churning notion in my head, that Amex will one day come back and say, you owe us all your bonus points back because you reached your spending limits using AP, which is really cash advances.

Is this possible? Do they have a legal basis to even do something like this?

This is hypothetical

Any help would be appreciated to calm my fears of being hit with a bill of 4cpp

Never a good idea.
That's because of f/r trigger, but OP questions wasn't related to that.

For these types of churning notions I recommend cognitive behavioral therapy.  :)
