Amex Gift Card $2000 --> Spending threshold

I recently applied for Amex Platinum Business, SPG, and SPG Business. I also was recently given an Amex Gift Card for $2,000. Amex said that I cannot use the GC to pay off my credit card. Selling it won't get me close to $2,000. Anyone have a creative idea to use the GC towards the CC?

You can use them on AP. You can buy VS/MC at some stores (5-6 fee per 500 GC) with them and then use them to purchase MO's. You can load them to Amex Target card and unload via ATM but with fees.

You don't need to get personal its just annoying to have to see everyones new thread when there's probably 10 different posts dedicated to this topic.
