Can the "mark all messages as read" button either be removed from the unread posts and unread replies pages? Or at least it should have a confirmation popup so I don't mark everything as read by accidentally hitting the button.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!  :'( :'( :'( I just clicked it again

There’s no need for that button, or at least a warning like @avromie7 said

My  prizes from CV :)

I use that button sometimes but a confirmation box before it marks the posts as read would be very helpful.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

How do I un-follow a particular thread/topic. For example, I once responded to the Cancun Mexico master thread...but I don't want this thread to show up in the "Show new replies to your posts" section.
This question has been asked before and there's no good answer. The only thing to do is "ignore topic", but then it won't show up in unread posts either.
It would be great if this can be fixed.

Please don’t get rid of it. I use that button all the time.

I scroll through the list of all “unread”, open the ones I’m interested in in a new tab, then mark the rest as read.

It would be great if this can be fixed.

Same, but I've also clicked it by mistake. A confirmation message would be helpful.

If you click the "select all" button (the square on top of the rest) and then click "mark selected as read" it is a two step process just like "mark all as read" with a confirmation message.

I’m not worried for me, I’m fine using the button exactly as it’s intended.

It’s the other people that are worried about clicking it by mistake, so your idea wouldn’t help them.

I meant that if they got rid of that button you wouldn't lose the function, because you can do that idea, and they wouldn't have to worry about clicking it by mistake because it's a 2 step proccess.

Just to summarize @Dan @jj1000 , I (among others), look at posts in two levels, first the replies, then, if there's time the other unread posts. We want the option to "remove from replies" but to still leave it on the "unread posts" list. That way something we responded to once but we don't want to stay involved in as an active discussion, can be taken off this priority list without being completely ignored.

A more likely solution..
Is there a mod that allows a custom list of newly replied topics, of the topics I choose?

(Similar to Show new replies to your posts, just you get to pick the threads)

What do the chachomim here think about implementing an automatic warning on DDMS for products that have a low Amazon rating?

For example, "Please note: This product has only 3.9 of 5 stars in Amazon ratings. You may want to check reviews before purchasing this product."

The question revolves more on the marketing aspect. Does it lower the user experience to have added warning? Do people already know to check the reviews?

IMO can only help the user experience, doesn't matter if people check or not.

I like that idea.
Remind me in like 3 months, if my life is less crazy than it is now maybe I'll make an SMF mod to do that... :)

(the tricky part is going to be figuring out a user-friendly way for people to decide if the picture (or video for that matter) should be hidden or not)
@whYME reminder :)

@mods should actually page all the mods (associated with that board) so people can bring violations to the attention of the mods without having to reveal their identity (by reporting to moderator) or writing @.Dan @.jj1000 @.AsherO @.Something Fishy etc.

How will that solve the identity problem?

writing @.Dan @.jj1000 @.AsherO @.Something Fishy etc.
It ends there ;)
