When you click the "Add image to post," the system will automatically upload your image to the website and provide a link which will display the image. So it should work even if your image originates on your computer.

Play around a buit with the notification permission and site data settings should either give you a pop up or show you this

It definitely used to work but it's been a while... I don't see that icon and it looks like notifications are enabled, but I don't get any

Just tried in a different chrome profile and I saw the icon and subscribed to notifications in that one. Less ideal but good enough for now

when searching for past deals on DDMS it would be handy if we could sort by date (for example, to see 2023 on top instead of mixed with 2021 and 2019)

It searches title matches in chronological order and then post matches in chronological order.
Can always use Google Search for timeframes.

We need a new JS heading for netfree people. Call it Just Schmooze: Filtered edition. We should put a mod in charge of ensuring that the conversation topics that may tick off Netfree get moved to the old JS, which we can rename Just Schmooze: Unfiltered. You do realize that all the Netfree users will post all of THEIR JS threads in GD.

Netfree also blocks what they consider to be bad hashkafa - or even the potential for bad hashkafa. It is also difficult to get them to change their minds once they decide something is no good. On the contrary: I was surprised that DDF was open in the first place, and I am doubly surprised that they blocked JS but not politics (or the whole thing once someone crossed one of their red lines). My conclusion is that someone on the Netfree team enjoys DDF.  Maybe?
