it can be right when I post, or when I read someone else's post, or even occasionally if I click "Mark all threads as read"

Not only, I had it today with a thread someone posted that had no replies yet. I clicked Mark All Messages as Read a few times, and opened the thread a few times, and eventually it stopped showing up in Unread Posts.

Back in the day when I had this problem it would go back to the old time. It refused to refresh. (Was pretty cool to go back in time

) Now it refreshes

When I clicked new replies or unread posts it would show 12:45 instead of current time 12:55
It showed what was new back then even though I read all that already.

I just had this with my post, every time I refresh the "unread posts" page it shows up the current time, even though it's showing my post as unread

I just looked at a list of 4 unread posts, clicked MARK ALL AS READ, and 3 went away but this one was left:

For the first time ever (for me at least), a DansDeals article appeared in my 'articles for you' feed on chrome on android. I always get stuff from other points/miles/travel sites, but never DansDeals until now, even though it's my most-read travel site. I guess something about that article caught Google's eye, although that's surprising in my case, because I don't follow any sports, and I'm sure Google knows that very well!

@Dan it could be worth looking into how to get stories into people's lists, as that's how I found some of the other sites that I now visit more frequently. I imagine it could drive traffic to DDMS, and I assume there's gotta be some data out there on how Google classifies websites/posts, kinda similar to search engine optimization, just to learn how Google picks these things.
