Constructive suggestions:
How about removing the icon directly to the left of the thread name. The message icon, usually set to Standard, but sometimes a smiley, thumbs up, thumbs down, etc.
And while you're at it, the first column needs to either be eliminated, or made more up to date. 'Very Hot Topic'=more than 25 replies?

It only shows when looking at the D/DR board. When looking at 'unread posts since last visit' or 'show new replies to your posts', the stars do not show.

I don't like it at all. Like is not the same as +1. When a person +1s it means they had the same experience. We have likes all over do we really need it here as well??
