I think it's time to bring the same thing to DDF for signatures. It's not that I want to write long megillos in my signature, but if I want to put in links or formatting, all that code takes up characters, severely limiting what can be written.

Agree with you, but for now you can use bitly for links.

ok ive hit a pretty annoying roadblock that should probably be brought up here. i cant search for anything with less than 2 characters in each word in the search bar? well what if im searching to see if a thread was opened about a website called Car Rental 8 ? (btw im wondering if that website is legit if anyone knows  ) searching just car rental wont get me anywhere. why does that error even exist?

Can the "report to moderator" on bottom of each post be shortened to "report" or "report post"?
I find myself clicking on it by mistake far too often.
Also to perhaps remove the (useless) logged button

You should be able to search media/links separately similar to what WE has, sometimes I come back to see a picture or video there is no way to search

When quoting a post with pictures, the site should automatically replace the actual picture with the word picture that is clickable, so the replies don't take up valuable page space.

I like that idea.
Remind me in like 3 months, if my life is less crazy than it is now maybe I'll make an SMF mod to do that...

(the tricky part is going to be figuring out a user-friendly way for people to decide if the picture (or video for that matter) should be hidden or not)

You can add a button on picture posts, something like "Quote With Full Picture".
I definitely think the default should be shortened.
Also I'm thinking for multiple pictures maybe to name them picture 1 picture 2 etc..

I think the "location" option in bios should be changed to a drop down tab that lets you chose a location, or a search bar for a google maps location finder. It should NOT be a field where people can just fill in random, corny lines like "in my pants" or "wish I was in Bermuda." Obviously, it can be left blank for someone who wishes to preserve their privacy.

Not having accurate locations can be really frustrating. Just check the "unemployment help" thread - so many people ask location-specific questions and they fail to specify their location. Having a more reliable location field would circumvent a lot of frustration.
