Award Ticket to Bump to Revenue Class but no Miles?
« on: September 08, 2013, 03:22:14 PM »
Recently got bumped on a UA mileage ticket.

Got rebooked into F class.

No miles posted.

Requested missing mileage credit online.

Said it would post within two weeks.

Followed up two weeks later, no miles.

Resubmit missing mileage request. Says miles already in account. They are not.

Called UA twice, and both reps tell me because it was originally a miles ticket, miles are not awarded.

While I know that is the case usually, I have been awarded miles on a mileage ticket that is rebooked into a revenue bucket fare.

HUCA? Give up?

FWIW, the last rep was who looked into the situation was at the executive desk and told me no go.

Had a similar situation (mileage ticket and bumped to later flight in J class) on a transcontinental- no dice.
Let us know if it works on other metal.
