I donated to Chai Lifeline in the past and probably will donate to them again in the future. I asked at least five times to be removed from their email list. Still receiving their emails. What is their problem?

I never had issues with reputable organizations. I was told by many that this one was reputable.

That's very strange.
Especially since they use a third party sender (I think mailchimp or madmimi) which will usually unsubscribe you automatically and won't allow the sender to put you back on the list unless you manually opt in.
You can definitely spam or report it at this point and that should solve the issue.

I have the same issue with twitter. I unsubscribed from their annoying suggestions several times and still get their  emails.

"report spam" it does wonders (in gmail)

An alternative that won't hurt the charity is to create a filter to have any email from that address/subject sent automatically to trash.

That's what I do for Twitter. With 20 Twitter Accounts....

slept with phone under pillow to use as alarm.. Woke up and the phone was too hot to touch and the battery was almost empty even though it was plugged in all night!
