Cheap Internet service in crown heights

Looking for basic Internet service in ch, I don't have a landline. Any suggestions? Much appreciated!

Optimum offers $30/mo. for the first year for cable Internet, don't think it gets cheaper than that.

I believe that was discontinued. It's now $40 a month for 15 Mbps or they have a promotion of $45 for 50 Mbps. Cmiiw

I'm moving to a new apartment this week, and the cheapest offer I've been able to find is $49 for 15 mbs from Optimum.

There was some old mail from the past tenant with an offer to switch to a cable/internet plan for  $59 per month, though the T&C state that it requires proof that you are dropping another provider to take OPtimum/Cablevision. Anyone know if they are particular about this sort of thing?

My 1st year is up and my $30 monthly rate got bumped to $60. I am moving in a month so figured I'd just cancel and reopen in my new apt. However, the cheapest rate I see online now with Optimum is $49/ month. Anyone know if it is possible to get the $30 rate anymore?

Nope, it's gone. Optimum no longer offers it as bestwatchman said.
In an effort to get more people to sign up for their triple play, they no longer offer $30/mo for just web access. It's now between $50 - $60, still not sure how thats determined. I'm now paying $54 for web and tv, originally had triple play (first year promo rate) then ported out my number, so they lowered it from $80 to $54. Never bothered to set up the top box.
