I was there 2 weeks ago and ate at Alef Alef. The Shabbos meals came out to $35 a person and were very good. They have Friday night dinner and Shabbos lunch. It is Heimeshe food. There is a Shul next door as well as the Mizrachi Shul a few blocks away. You need to bring passports to get into the Shul’s. I stayed a the Intercontinental which was about 20 minutes away and a very easy walk.
even for shabbos?

Yes, they have Shabbos meals that you need to reserve and pay for ahead of time.

Where would you consider the Jewish area to be? We need a hotel that is walking distance from a shul and Shabbos meals.

I guess we will eat at Aleph Aleph and daven nearby.
It seems from my search that most of the good hotels nearby are booked or very expensive for our dates.

What is a better location in terms of walking to Kosher restaurants:
Chabad area or next to Alef Alef?
Also we are arriving on Friday afternoon and we want to eat at Alef Alef on Shabbos. Is there a way to order Shabbos meals in advance? Does Chabad do Dinner? Lunch?

Bachur Tov was very reasonable.
The Shusi place was expensive and so was Alef Alef IINM.

The restaurants there are not expensive in general. Bahur Tov is very good and cheap, as is pizza prego and others. Certainly cheaper than US or Israel. Quality also excellent.

Eg in Bahur Tov a large portion of skewers + fries + salad will cost around EUR 13 = USD 15 including tax and service. Lamb chops EUR 15. Take-away pita with chicked EUR 6. Excellent value!
