just curios... how old is that shas? i sure hope its not over 20 years old because it looks pretty new

Shas is 7 years old but I don't use it much..
im using my father's bookshelf now

Come to think of it, I have that style Shas. Now now, please don't hijack my thread, I need bookshelf recommendations.

Ikea Billy are pretty solid. Going strong for 6 years now, with chassan shas and all.

I have from IKEA bought 15 years ago doing just fine and still available iinm.

I believe its the Billy's as Dan mentioned above.

Years ago I think I discussed somewhere on ddf a solution for sagging bookshelves.
Something to do with a very  long bolt, (almost invisible) supporting the self.

There's a different solution (in many cases) which is much easier and completely hassle-free. Turn over the shelves every two years.

Many bookcase shelves have a front lip that won't allow that. Mine does though I built it myself...

So, my Ikea Hemnes bookshelves are falling apart, especially the one with the Chosson-Shas at the bottom (and Artscroll DafYomi on top). Time to bump this vintage thread.

1. Does anyone have any recommendations not yet mentioned here?
2. If you posted above, are your IKEA Billy, Target or Staples bookshelves still holding up?

Staples, almost 5 years and still in great shape.
