depends on your preferences, if you want to get a good's night sleep obviously not,but if your interested in going to kevarim, pick up food, minyan and the like than it's a viable option! nothing is too far from the airport,it's around a 20 minute drive into the main city, depending where you wanna go it's doable! have a blast!

In case anyone hasn't heard, there are now two kosher vending machines in FRA, serving various Israeli chips (bisli bamba etc) also has chocolates and some kosher cookies from france I think. Also suppose to have deli sandwiches but I was out of luck when I was there..

One is located near gate C1 (before security) the other somewhere near the Israeli gates C something...

I have an 11 hour stopover with my wife and 4 mo old son in FRA. Any ideas? I'm not really a fan of dead people, I communicate with them via meditation.

Concerning drivers, as FRA is NOT eastern europe, I will assume it costs an arm and a leg, unless someone in 'shucher' that you get hold off.

Don't rely on those vending machines.

I saw the one in C before security, and only a very few products were left... Forget sandwiches, it was more like a 'pesek zman' that one could buy.

Have a friend who urgently needs kosher food during a 3:15 stop in FRA soon. Which supermarket is closest?

The only kosher supermarket is:
Aviv
Hanauer Landstraße 50
60314 Frankfurt, Germany
+49 69 446017
It's about 30 min from the airport. You can also try your luck with the vending machines.

Went with my dad on business, so combined it.
About cost I wouldn't know how I could help, as we drove there and stayed by a family.

Someone once told me that they went to Michelstadt by train, and that it was quick and easy.  If that's really the case, I don't see the need for driver's etc..

Has anyone ever heard of the train option?
