How long were you out with the porsche? 150 KM doesn't seem like it would take all that long.
i had unlimited km and for a full day (only used it for about 6 hrs though)

there are three cemeteries in Frankfurt.
the current one, the 'old one' and the 'really old one'.
the really old one is across the street from the jewish museum which has the key and will open it up for you.
buried there is rav nosson adler (the rebbi of the csam sofer) the penei yehosua, the csam sofers mother (youll see it next to a tree with rocks and candles) and others.
in the 'old cemetary' the old stoliner rebbe, rav Sampson Raphael Hirsch and others are buried there.
and the current one,i dont believe there is anyone 'famous' buried there but is used by the current community
the last time i was there was a couple of years ago so i hope i still remember everything!
which of the three cemeteries is the closest to fra airport?

The bal shem Michelstadt is about 1.5 hour drive from the airport.

If you pm me, I can give you some tips on how to activate yeshuos over there.
just arrived here from the airport. It's 55 min drive

Nice, they either moved the grave, the airport, you were speeding, or the guy that told me about it got lost.

Does anyone know if the old cemetery in Frankfurt has opening hours? Or do you always have to go get the key by the museum?

IIRC you need to get the keys. Some people I know climbed over wall.

Hi,
Wife and I will have 6-hour layover in FRA in August.
Flying LH but in Economy ( :-[), so I guess we can't access the LH FCT (or FCL).
Questions:
1. We have Lounge Club passes. Is the LuxxLounge (Terminal 1) decent (one poster said it was not).
2. Should we venture out of the airport and, if so, ...
  a. Do the 3-hour Porsche rental or
  b. Get the driver to take us for a tour or
  c. Take the public transportation into and out of the City?
3. Are there any reliable kosher options in Frankfurt at this point? (I have read the news about Rabbi Klein).

Thanks in advance.

I'm planing a stop over in Frankfurt, how long do I need to get out of the airport passport control and all, get down to Mainz to the maharam and back rechecking in for next flight? Is the bais olem open or do i need to contact someone?
Thanks

I had a 4 hour stopover and it was plenty. IIRC our driver had the keys to the bais olam.
