After taking advantage of this deal, I remembered that I took advantage of the free $5 for opening a new account, some time ago.

Now I have GCs spread across several accounts...

Is there a way to transfer the balance from a GC that is already on one account to another?

My colleague received a promotion on her account for a Starbucks Rewards Challenge "Ready. Set. Dash!" in which you have from December 30th - January 12th to earn 3 stars and get 10 bonus stars or earn 5 stars and get 20 bonus stars.

Anyone else have this promotion?

I'm wondering why I don't have the offer. Perhaps because I'm already gold member with 1 reward waiting to be redeemed - but I'd love to get those extra stars.

I didn't get the promotion you are referring to, but earlier, I had a promotion where if I buy a holiday drink, holiday dessert and breakfast sandwich, I would get 10 additional stars.

Seems like they target their promotions based on activity level because my wife didn't get that and she drinks Starbucks regularly. I might drink it once a month.

Yep; I'm there all the time and the most recent promotion I got was "Receive 2 bonus stars when buying the following snacks" which is not all that exciting.

When it's the only coffee around I get it. But to actually order Starbucks coffee to drink at home.... why?
There coffee just isn't that good IMHO.

Any fresh ground coffee from your local supermarket should taste WAY better.

Probably to get the first drink free, and then forgot about it.

Others can sign up here: http://www.starbucks.com/card/rewards (they should also receive their first drink on the card for free.)
