On T-Mobile, not AT&T. I don't know about Verizon and sprint.

Do a speed test? It might say LTE at the bars indicator at the top of the screen, but I'm not sure.

you cant unless you hack the phone. it's not really worth it

From the first link I posted above it seems that you can enable it without flashing anything, but it will only stay until the next reboot. You also might have to change the APN.

You would have to flash an LTE enabled radio...
Edit: your right, it says it comes with a LTE radio...

So it seems like yea there is a possibility to actually turn in LTE through dialing *#*#4636#*#* but it Doesn't stay it just goes back to the original settings on 4.4.2 the second you exit it so you will need to completely root your phone first
