Was just there a few days ago. Was not impressed with the shawarma platter.

If you choose their waitered service, you can't order it in a pita or laffa. They only allow the $24 platter. Of course you can make your own by using the laffas that are complimentary.

I personally ask them to make it well done on the grill and eat it together with the laffa

There is also Famous Pita which people seem to love. Never been there though. IT had some kashrus issues a while back but is supposedly better now.

I used to eat there at it's original location. Was awesome.

Now I understand.....I've only tried it in a laffa and it was really good. In a platter it wouldn't be as good.

It's cheaper and better but they don't allow it if you sit down for service.

Its still great, everything there tastes great including their shwarma
Its also allot cheaper than Olympic Pita.
I only wish their service was better, they make everything fresh so when crowded it can take 30 minutes to get your food.

Olympic Pita is good, but I felt very overpriced, and their waiter service was slow as if I was in an upscale restaurant but I was just getting shwarma, falafel, etc
and $8 for a plate of 7 falafel balls

Those usually are available for the taking by Famous Pita!

I guess if you are looking for a upscale restaurant with ambience then its not the place for you
If you just want good food at a good price, and you are interested in the type of service you would get in a falafel store in Israel...then Famous Pita is the place.

"horrible & ugly" .... sounds like an emotional response to food

Has anyone tried The Loft? I meant there tonight and was pretty impressed with the food and service there.

Had an office party there. Food was decent. Nothing "wow" though.
