Had a great meal at the soft opening of Cambio.

Was like dining with a private chef.

Crazy good bread, three butters and homemade olives

Gnocchi appetizer.

Butternut squash soup

Roasted beets appetizer with creme fraiche

Four types of ravioli

Salmon

Sea Bass

Roasted pear with flourless chocolate and wine reduction

Coffee zabaglione

Actually thought the burger (sunny side) was rather tasteless TBH and a total waste of $, and the classic burger was even worse. Perhaps their sandwiches are better?

But they did have a spicy popper-like appetizer that was pretty awesome.

Ate at Bison and Bourbon couple months back. Ambiance was great. Food was horrid. (Steak was essentially inedible.) Wouldn't go back. Even at half price.

Appetizers are the way to go.
Mains never equate to the appetizers.

seems changes may be coming, heard Chef David (from PG back when it was the best) is consulting for them now to make the food better. that space is so awesome, but i was also thoroughly unimpressed with the food when i went a while back.

Which is unacceptable and laughable for a "high end" steakhouse.

Well, if so, he's got his work cut out for him. Everything from plating to cut of meats needs a thorough refurb.

I think most people went to eat there was it was new. I would say the food was 7/10 but would go back for the ambiance. We really enjoyed the place

We went there on sukkas and it was enjoyable to eat in a comfortable big sukka , but food was a mesa

I've been telling my family that for months, they claim "it's great"

. IMO (and DW's opinion) Drinks were A+. Food was F-. Chef came out to apologize (she was on hells kitchen one season?) and to say they're changing the menu, that we should come back. She missed the point - it wasn't the menu that was terrible....

Yeah she was on hells kitchen, and like is said when I was there ambience was A+ food was a no no... Heard they are improving. A trip back might just be the answer

Separately, what's with the new Roman pizza place across from Basil, and the din torah, etc? What is Roman pizza anyway? Romans didn't have pizza.

Drinks and apps are the way to go at Bison and Bourbon, and they are some of the best I've had. Skip the entrees...

My friends strategy at Bison and Bourbon is to sit at the bar and order drinks and finger food only which is supposed to be good.

I personally can't see myself going there again in the near future.
