What does DO stand for? It's not on the list of acronyms here, except to mean Day On or Day Off. I assume from the context I've seen here it means a meeting.
A get together

Per R' Google, DO is not an acronym but, rather, an English slang term meaning party.

Ok thanks then, we will be going to the Loft. What is recommended?
Answering my own question now: The prime grilled rib eye steak was really excellent!

While not strictly a restaurant, I just did steak night at the Kosher Culinary Center. It was AMAZING! Besides for the experience of breaking down a cow and learning all these new cooking techniques, the food was delicious!
just did a private party there for 15 people. was really amazing.
we did a "chopped" competition for the main dish which was a blast.
the judging part of it wasa bit of a joke but the actual competition was great.

does it cost more to do a party or its the same per head charge?
what was the damage?

It is the same per head charge but you choose the menu so the price ranges. If you choose to do poultry instead of steak for the main it can be cheaper. We (obviously) chose (rib) steak for the main. the price was $125 per head. Not bad at all. If all of us would have gone out to a restaurant it would have cost way more. The drinks (including a small selection of mixed drinks) are included. Their wine selection was not great but you can bring your own.
And if its the right crowd you can really make it fun.

well there weren't really mystery ingredients. we were given a protein a starch and a vegetable which we were required to use and we were able to use any other ingredient in the room which there was an insane amount of. So not exactly chopped but chopped style.

You also have access to a bunch of different cooking methods which aren't practical at home

yup definitely. A commercial grill, deep fryer and pan , blender, food processor etc.  and you can use as many as you want without having to clean :)

If you are looking for a steak house in Flatbush you cant go wrong with either: T-Fusion, Wolf and lamb or Bordeaux
Boro Park you have the loft or on a lower level Glatt a la Carte

Upside Burger  is just another reason not to travel to Bison & bourbon

Agreed. We happen to also like Jerusalem Steakhouse on Avenue J. Tremendous portions. You're full just from the salads and laffa. Food is delicious.

Can anyone recommend a great Brooklyn caterer for a yeshiva dinner? We can't pay top dollar but looking for good service and a nice, quality meal.

Can I get some reviews on main house bbq? Seems like that’s the most central between Flatbush & far Rockaway. Otherwise I’ll be going to five towns for dinner. Anybody have any strong recommendations?
