Funny - As I saw the Bklyn Restaurant thread pop up, I remembered that I needed to update y'all.

It was great. We went as a party of 8 and it was one big party with some delicious food.

Great show and entertainment while we ordered all the appetizers on the menu. I was a big fan of the Tuna Dumpling (guacamole, spicy tuna dumping with Thai mango chili aioli) and the Classic Yakitori (street style chicken skewer).

I then got the Samurai Steak (medium rara) and it was delicious. We got a whole show during which he prepared the fried rice, veggies and from time to time made us catch veggies in our mouths to which he would reward us with Saki that he sprayed us with from 10 ft away.

We didn't order dessert yet they still gave us the tempura ice cream on the house. That was sadly quite disappointing. But overall I'd definitely go back again.

Very cool. There used to be a place like that in Israel (I forget the name). It was across from the Laromme (now Inbal) hotel.

What do people think of Basil? Soup was overly overpriced, pizza was decent, and entree was only a mouthful.

Most of their stuff is really good IMO, though disproportionately overpriced.

The ravioli was amazing. But still was $25 for only two of them.

I don't get the hype. High prices, small portions, and poor service. I'd take Noi Due any day.

I do like the basil fries and I loved the hole in one challah french toast though.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Went tonight and it was awesome. I don't think I ever spent so much on food (or tip so well) but it was definitely worth it. Great food (although a small menu, which could be because they make the food at your table), very entertaining, and overall a nice environment. And I also got the tempura ice cream for free. I thought it was very good.
