Went to T Fusion last night. by far the best dish was the BBQ Bourbon Ribs. We're generally a sucker for ribs and order it all the time. i thought Nobo's ribs were great. this was better. they have it in the starters menu but it's a main for sure (it's so big). at $28 it's certainly the best deal. FYI if you are more of a "lean meat" kinda guy, you will hate this. it's very fatty. if you're planning on going Chol Hamoed, know it will be on the Pesach menu.

we had sweet bread/tongue (8/10), bbq ribs (10/10), Kale Caesar (1/10- they forgot the tomatoes and the egg, too much vinegar), Cowboy steak (7/10), Delmonico (7/10), Filet Mignon (8/10), soufle (9/10), churros (9/10), tiramisu (6/10). we also had pina coladas (virgin tasted better for some reason, we had 3 total), citrus margarita (8/10), and sour apple something that was a T Fusion drink. nothing sour or apple, waste of money.

over all we were very happy with the food but service was slow. we sat upstairs and there were 3/4 other tables all sharing one waitress. food took forever to come out. we met the general manager (asked for the chef but he was next door at an event) he was nice and suggest the churros for dessert, comped 2 desserts and a tea :)

RE: Orchidea

The only place I know that forces you to tip for a buffet lunch.

Plus 20% minimum tip????

And that's with service that is terrible!

Our service was pretty good.  The little guy was kind of heimish. I thought maybe they added the tip because they knew we were using a Groupon an didn't want to get "stiffed" (i.e., only tipping on the net, rather than the gross). But it sounds like they ALWAYS add the tip.   Still, I would go back for the FOS. :)

Nice of them to add a line for additional tip in case the 20% was insufficient for you to show your gratitude.  ;D

LOL
Not to beat a dead horse, but...
Who uses 20/25/30% as the range for tipping?
And note that they included their 20% on the total including tax.
Had we ordered drinks (actually we did order a milk shake, but they forgot it), I'm sure they would have included tip on the beverage, too.
But as I said, my future plan will be to go back and order French onion soup for two, and be out of there for under $20, all-in.

Do the math, the 20% is pre-tax (regardless of how the papers lines are set up).

Why shouldn't they charge tip on beverages?

Ok, I stand corrected re the 20%.
I don't know for sure about tipping on drinks when you're having dinner. Somewhere deep in the recess of my memory I recall learning this, but I have no source.  Maybe it's wrong?

what you're probably referring to is that some people give a smaller percentage when they order drinks because the bill is higher

My guess is you live in BP and food from further away always has better taste.
T fusion is right near my home and I would never go there. Too close and if I'm spending $ I will go to nyc etc.
