Neither of us really know that (AFAIK you're FFB...)
I was told by some who would. IIRC I've seen it in some cookbooks as well. On the other hand the meat itself is lower quality.

I highly disagree. Dan is a foodie* and doesn't always praise fad/fancy restaurants just because they are popular.

And dan dosent like izzys ?

I edited my quote to reflect what I'm responding to. I completely disagree when you say "there are no tricks" or that "you can't fool people". A big part of the restaurant business is about brand/image/perception. We see it all the time, a restaurant gets popular, the food/service quality goes down, and they go out of business. A perfect example would be what's going on recently at Reserve Cut (I'm saying that based on multiple negative reviews on DDF), if things continue this way it'll hurt their business.

Happen to be i was a month ago in reserve cut and my consumption that they won't last too long , had my worst experience in a restaurant in many years , i am dining out atleast once or week sometimes 3 x a week , reserve cut picked up for thier beautiful place and had pretty good food in the beginning,  izzys is not a waiter service fancy restaurant, just a small shop that people come to beg thier food ,that means you can't fool people ,there is no reason to go to izzys and squueze in to a small tiny store and stand in line ,no one forcing his thousands of customers, just because his food is phenomenal and second to none , you can't fool people with food ,period

You get what you pay for. You can get high quality kosher beef.

Izzys are battling between the few kosher meat suppliers to get his amount of the highest quality meat and anyone was ever thier he is always out of ribs and lamb ,he dosent have enough , and not taking lower quality , again i didn't see in the kosher restaurant industry that someone fooled people with food , even bison picked up because thier vibe but thier food is rubbish , bedford in queens made a noise loud also because thier vibe and fancy decor but they are closed down as we speak , again you can't fool people woth food

izzys dino ribs is the best value in kosher restaurants, and his brisket beans is second. the meat he uses for the ribs is top shelf and he takes advantage of that perfectly. I have bh never had a bad experience there (I have had beter brisket though :), and the guy is a real sweetheart. if you had an issue, talk to him directly, as he is the controlling owner and will get it taken care of.

I love this post

Stating facts when he is assuming his toughts in one sentence

Btw i am not a fan of smoked meat

But as far as i know and heard is izzys food made as the highest possibility poosible to do smoked meats ,its wood and the whole 9 yards

Hos food is the best quality in kosher industry, and he has a hard time getting enough

Might be yours is better,  you should have confidence in yourself...

Admittedly, I've never been there.

Someone pls post a pic of the smoker.

But in other hand i didn't believe main house bbq is so low , i was there when it was pretty new and they didn't even knew how to get the thing together , they only tried to copy Izzys ,but i think they partially shifted away and added different menu ,because every restaurant or even that to try just to copy is ussualy failing

I don't disagree, he may very well have been the one who wrote the message trying to regain our trust/business, and referred us to his manager. I shouldn't have to mediate between two co-owners' standards of customer service to get what was offered to me.

It's called Williamsburg English. Need to be enough around these people to understand.

Thanks, I'm not looking for free food. If you aren't willing to stand behind your promises and be courteous, I'll take my business elsewhere, I don't care how good your food allegedly is.

We've had Izzys several times (always take out), the first few times were great. Then one time they send us pickles instead of a side (which they charged us for), and when we called and brought it to our attention they said, oh, okay, we're sorry. No offer of refund or anything.

This last time the was our very uncomfortable issue with the food and the exact same thing happened, same Israeli customer service (lack thereof actually). So we messaged them on facebook and insisted on a full refund, to which they replied saying that we should speak to the manager who will take care of us. When we called he promised a full refund of our order and that when we come next they will take care of us, I asked what that means and he promised a free sandwich, a 20% discount off everything we order, and free drinks.

When I came, the Israeli CS greets me as the person of the refund, and begrudgingly shows me my refund receipt, speaking to me as if he's doing me a favor refunding my order, The refund was partial (the one problematic item), not full as promised. I said I was promised some freebies (I had to ask) and he called over the manager who had offered me the items I listed, the manager mumbled something about a sandwich, which got put into the system, there was no mention of free drinks or a discount.  I turned on my heels and left.
