What a disappointment tonight was. Went to Glatt a La Carte. Don't think I ever went. If I did it was a very long time ago. Firstly, you walk in and you're met with the kitchen. No matre d in sight. We wandered aimlessly till a waiter told us we can take any table (I made a reservation). Food took over an hour to come. Onion rings were dripping with oil. Sliders (pulled beef) were good. Grilled chicken was great. Creme brle was not good at all. Everything else was unremarkable. Overall was not an experience I want to repeat. Overpriced and underwhelming.
Everyone just came back its obviously gonna be a madhouse

It was incredibly dead. And we went during usual rush time. That's why we didn't know where we're supposed to sit. Most tables were empty. The waiters were sitting around and chatting. Same with the kitchen crew

Did the Loft again last night. As I said before, Mikes Bistro was beyond delicious, but Loft was really great as well.

I couldn't find a better thread to post this in.

There is a recently new bakery on 13th Ave., called Taam Eden. It's literally that. Beats Shloimy's IMHO. The staff is also super friendly. Try out their stuff and get back to us.

Everything that I tried. Seriously. Cheese florets. Cheese cannolis. Mini custard donuts. Chocolate chip chocolate cake. And they're not more expensive than other similar bakeries at all.

It also took me time till I stepped in. I was wondering who's the new suicider who thinks he can afford the rent there. It wasn't opened with fanfare or by someone with a renowned reputation. I still don't know who the owner is. I only get there on Friday afternoon.

Where on 13th are they located?
I have nothing in common with lazy people who blame others for their lack of success. Great things come from hard work
