Izzy fried chicken has been closed for 2 weeks, and the owner is trying to sell it

Not surprised.

Why? When it first opened there were rave reviews. Did that change?

Though I was always wondering if he's growing too much too quickly. He has 3 restaurants going on 4 now?

Apparently he has partners/owners for some of them, like this one. I felt like the quality and portion sizes went down over COVID, and a while ago there was a fair amount of advertising for their family packages that seemed pretty sweet until you considered what they were actually offering for that $$.

Izzy wasn't involved to much with fried chicken, other people ran it and are the ones trying to sell it

I still can't understand his idea of having 3  stores selling the same stuff in one neighborhood,
But now he is doing great at upper west side, and just opened in Miami as well

They weren't selling the same thing at all. The first was smoked BBQ, the second(?) that closed was fried chicken, and the third was a taqueria. How is that the same?

You were able to get lots of the same dishes in all 3 restaurants , It didn't make sense at all, there is alot of things that dosen't make sense from a business point of view in that restaurant.

What’s my best option for party catering about 45 18-22 y/o boys. Essen would be the cliche option, any better ideas?

Munch seems to have decent options a little more expensive than Essen

Not exactly sure what you mean by best(quality, price etc),but Subsational, chap a nosh, Holy Shnitzel and Retro grill all come to mind as options.
