I always found Renaissance much better
I've found on more than one occasion that theservice in Renaissance is extremely slow (I was there in the past week).

+1 for both, we had to harangue our waiter to either bring more bread or take our order.
Service isn't always faster in Venezia, more like YMMV there.

There should be a shaming thread for all the local stores that have dirty tables. Including Mendelsohn's, Corner Cafe etc.

Sub Express is a great place. It's on 13th ave right near Shomer Shabbos (53rd Street). Real clean, quick, and delicious food, with a rather extensive menu. My personal favorite is a steak sub called the "giant papa". It's grilled steak slices topped
with fried onions in a delicious honey bbq sauce & russian dressing. The unique thing about this place is that they have a large variety of food too, american, mexican, chinese, israeli, and more! Check out their menu at http://subexpressny.com/

Are you sure? I always found Renaissance much better
Yes, pretty much the same with the same silly restrictions on no changes to what is printed in the menu.

At Carlos & Gabby's you gotta try the "bourbon street skirt steak sandwich". They grill that steak to perfection and put on crunchy fried onions on top... Ooooh...

I would like to add a poll here "which restaurants would you recommend?" as the question and the options would be each restaurant. Each member getting to vote 5/10/15/25? times. It would be a really long list but would be doable. We could start out w all or most of the restaurants and then remove the ones that do not receive any votes. Any thoughts to this?

One thing about subexpress is they definitely are NOT QUICK!  Service is really slow. Good food though

I second that! amazing steak sandwich, and try their grilled chicken too, large portion and marinated to perfection.

Went to T Fusion this week. Excellent, but somewhat costly. Really delicious.

I found crisp annoying since it's all glass, so everyone can see you from the outside... Was never at mabat

Crisp has an amazing $15 tongue sandwich.

Didn't enjoy Crisp when I ate there, they passed off what seemed to be prepackaged frozen shwarma as a baby chicken sandwich. I was in Mabat many years ago. Don't remember what I ordered only that the food was good.

I actually found crisp very good. We had their food many times. What's wrong with windows? You could even look out! When they had soup (I think only winter), it was great. Food very good too. We took out a number of times as well but things like fries can become soggy. Minuses - not that many tables, not the cleanest place (as far as tables and chairs) and those chairs are very uncomfortable.

Was there a few times. Pretty good food, nice variety. Prices not too bad. Nice restaurant and staff.
