How do you know they're really from Israel? I'm not denying it, I just think it's hilarious that people here are quoting YWN, VIN, and their local shook merchant.
Because that's what I've used for years and my father before me.It's like arguing whether Florida oranges grow in Florida. It's a fact. And about as well known in my area.
They've actually started growing Florida oranges in Pennsylvania.
That's proof that there isn't. Most of us here know that when YWN writes something, the opposite is more likely to be true
deri lulavim are indeed grown in israel. to see for yourself, you can join me when i go cut some on erev yomtov
I may be interested. When you going? Kids invited?

Deri lulavim are more yellow and less dried out. Anyone who looks at lulavim for 15 hrs a day can clearly see that. There also much tougher.
more yellow? what on earth does that mean?
not as dried out. Yellow as opposed to more brown
all the deri's ive seen are green...
Although Egypt for the most part, stopped exporting Lulavim, some still has made it across the border. The export from El Arish in Egypt has been drastically reduced so that the Lulav shortage is REAL.
