People who stare at dates. You once dated too and must realize how annoying and uncomfortable it makes them feel. Find something else to do.

buying something with intention to return is assur.
Depends on the stores return policy.
A friend went into a Walmart store and told the manager he is going on a road trip, can I buy a GPS and return when I come back. He said yes as that is our policy ad we know that there are many times when people will just end up keeping it.
Which makes a lot of sense.
Dont just say it's assur.

Or watch them use a newspaper as an umbrella to try and not get soaked.

My next shul one: When a chazzan (especially a "kratzer") runs away from the amud right before chazzaras hashatz.  >:(

I'd rather wait the extra three minutes in the beginning for someone else to be shatz, than the ten minutes for someone to take over...

I have. That's why I asked for your source...
in addition to hearing from a rav of my own, see here:

http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/2807335/jewish/Can-I-Buy-Something-if-I-Plan-to-Return-It.htm
http://www.yeshiva.co/midrash/shiur.asp?cat=832&id=26423&q=

in any event, although these practices bother me when they are publicized on these "jewish" threads, i wasnt actually referring to paying and returning tangible merchandise

Bad argument. Just because Walmart estimates that the liberal return policy yields a net benefit even if it's abused doesn't give you a license to abuse it.
If you don't care why would you comment?

If their policy is so liberal and they are OK with people doing that, then it is not called abusing.

If to many people start abusing it they will definitely stop it. It's not meant to be abused.

That's not the point. If too many people use any promotion they will stop it. Currently is not called abusing it.

when the shatz looks aimlessly around the room when there are clearly 10 finished, but for some reason he needs someone to wave him to go
