People eating while on the phone. This is a very real 'pet peeve'. Not list of things that annoy me.
It's one thing if I call you and you happen to be mid bite. It's quite another if you're eating lunch and think now is a good time to call Stbaum. I have news for you. I will hang up the phone. I've done it to customers. To my (old) boss, and to one other person I don't want to say. I feel it's the most disgusting thing you can hear over the phone. I literally lose control.
It happened again today during a conference call and my (new) boss was sitting right there and I couldn't hang up. I couldn't say anything. All I could do was take deep breaths and hope nothing important was being said because all I could hear was chewing.

Am I alone here?

Also can't stand when someone calls me, and continues talking to someone else when I pick up. I understand when I call someone that they might be in middle of a conversation, but don't call me while you're in middle of talking to someone else

Even worse when they decide to YELL at their kids while talking to you. I hang up when someone does that. I don't need busted eardrums because of your little terrors.
