How does your feet get dirty? You use dirty mats?
How about a clean mat?
The only mats that absorb are carpet type. When was the last time you washed it?

That has nothing to do with what I asked. We have three different showers.
So how would you know when the 5 year old squeezed out all of the shampoo into the bath while a teenager was watching of neither of them tell you?

And get my feet dirty right after I cleaned them?
Wear slippers? Then putting on socks becomes a hassle from wet feet.
Seriously dude...use a towel. If you're a real stickler wash every use. Get flip flops/crocs or any other type of footwear that you don't need socks for. I feel bad you live a complicated life for no reason.

LOL. Using an extra towel wastes money on gas and electric for laundry. The problem with wet feet is when I'm getting dressed. If I dry myself outside and use slippers, the slippers get wet and keep my feet wet. And it's not a complicated life everything is solved by doing one simple thing, drying inside the shower (feet is actually midair one foot at a time when stepping out).

And don't worry I have no problem stepping on dirty mats with bare feet :) I'm just pointing out the pros of drying inside.

@ChaimMoskowitz what do you hold now?

Never realized how lucky I am for avoiding many of these problems. I dry in the dressing room.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

@ChaimMoskowitz what do you hold now?

Start from the beginning. You use a towel every time you shower/bathe. Throw these towels in that load. If it's still an extra load, and you are nebach in a situation that you can't afford it, I'm sure we can start a campaign for you. If you use a towel, you're feet are dried by stepping on it. Issue avoided. When drying in the shower, I'd be surprised if your towel doesn't touch the soaking wet walls. The few times I've tried this, I'm left with a wet towel before I've really used it. If you only step on a Matt with clean feet, post shower, it will be clean for a lot longer.

Do you stand on your towel after you use it, or do you stand on another used towel as you towel off? No, standing on the mat without a towel is not an option.

How do you get from the shower to the dressing room?
I first walk. Then I take a dip (or several) and then I walk to the dressing room. On Shabbos I pick up a towel on my way to the dressing room (though no shower on Shabbos).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

If I bring my own towel I never put it where shoes go.

You're doing it all wrong . Because of people like you dry people get wet. Where I take a shower there's a designated drying area (albeit a small one), that way the dressing area stays dry.
