You can change your settings so you dont see profile pictures.
Profile/ Look and Layout/ Don't show users' avatars.

But then you would have one less pet peeve.

IMO, agreed is a way to sum up a conversation, basically saying that we both agree. When just stating your opinion, "I agree" would be the right choice.

How is it presumptuous if the person is agreeing to whatever the first guy said? The first guy already agrees, now you are adding that you agree, too. So why can't you say, "Agreed."?
