been discussed multiple times . lots of people disagree fundamentally with the concept of tipping, when they are  already paying full price fro the service they received.
Invariably there is more than just driving involved in my situation. No car service driver loads and unloads the car or waits a bit longer without charging more. Who is the judge of full price for service? Everything is priced as marked. Why pay a penny more for good service. Thats why its MY pet peeve...not yours.

Is driving a car included in the service industry?
How about once some industries decide to put a mandatory 17% gratuity, do you still have to tip on top of that?
Yes, and that is where I deffrentiate between owner or employee (if paying cash I don’t ask for change up to $5 regardless)
Mandatory gratuity (should) still goes to the employees so I see no need to tip in addition to that.

There is a car service that will send a car to JFK from my neighborhood for $35. I drive an SUV and I am constantly asked to match the car service price. I charge $65 for that same trip with the SUV no matter if you have more passengers. I load the bags in and out. And charge a premium for 11pm to 6am jobs. Frum people need to learn how to tip. Full stop. End of Rant.

In these situations, long wait and loading/unloading without additionall charge I believe a tip is appropriate.

As an aside and not just regarding this conversation, it is amazing how “principled” people become when there is a slight benefit to them.

Just trying to understand.
Either you charge the same as regular car service and expect tips for the additional space, services and time of the day which you offer, or you can charge a premium of $30 and not expect tips.
Seems like you are using the same added benefits to charge a premium and expect tips.

Car vs SUV, 2 passengers (before additional charges for more passengers) vs up to how many are legally able to ride etc. that’s what the premium charge is for.
However I can understand someone who paid a huge premium thinking loading and unloading are included

People who look at their tips as payment and get annoyed if they don't receive them, should just include it in the price.

Oh I only hate the costumers that dress up as customers.

Not sure if it’s the most annoying, but definitely high up on the list.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

People who are not appreciative of good service are cheap.
