Context:
1. The two processors are not competing. The first is a thin-and-light designed to emphasize efficiency over performance, and the second is a balance between performance and efficiency.
2. The laptop has plenty of performance for what it is intended: office work. The benchmark's simulated task may never be needed by owners of either system.
3. The first laptop has 50% better battery life than the second.

If it's something that you measure a level spoonful, it makes sense to cut off half.  This applies to wide-mouth herb and spice jars as well as sour cream, instant coffee, etc.  Possibly cream cheese if calorie counting.

In my line of work, it is common to see this on the shul's coffee on Shabbos because the person is petrified of ripping letters.
