Waiting for an attendant to pump gas in NJ. Or not waiting, and getting a dirty look from the attendant.
Are there even studies that self serve is hazzardous? Its not like these attendants are certified or anything.

NJ giving people jobs. Better then extra homeless people around offering to pump for you or clean your windows for a dollar tip.

I never get dirty looks. They look relieved when I get out and pump myself.

That is the language I have seen each time. It comes from the language R Meir Stern used when Passaic did it 20-25 years ago.

Maybe true but because of this law, 24 hour gas stations are very sparse in NJ.

He thinks he's a chazzan when he yells over the real chazzan, but then is too "modest" to daven for the amud when he gets asked the next week.

That's just one problem. I find many times that people are not able to hear the chazzan, and daven more based on this guy's speed, then when it comes to shmone esrei the minyan has to wait for enough people to catch up...

Kind of like the idiot who leaves mincha right when hes done with shmoneh esrei before chazaras hashatz when you need him to start.
