1. To quote a friend: don't think you did anything for your father, it is just a well deserved punishment for you.2. Time for an Omud graduates DO?
@ayagart, if indeed you still have nine months for the amud, you've ain't seen anything yet. I seriously wish you good luck. I went through this not long ago and times came when I felt I just couldn't take it anymore. What was really annoying was how my sisters were telling me how I'm so lucky that I can do something for my father and they wish they can also do something for his neshama... They just had to take me for my word.At the time I wanted to open a dedicated thread to the amud in the 11 months, (a pet peeve thread just doesn't do it justice...) but imho it's a potential for something extremely annoying when those who haven't gone through this will add in their .02. People can simply not perceive it if they didn't live it. But if you do open such a thread I've got a lot to add.May it be a true aliya for the neshama.
When flying on a morning flight and the person next to the window has the shades open. Or any time of the day really. Though only in the morning it's my pet peeve.
I'm in. Make sure to bring some pareve cholent...
How about the red eye and the light wakes you up
Friday afternoon at my house. You can stay over for Shabbos and enjoy a Shabbos in 770
(...don't mean to open a can of worms, but) to some people that is an oxymoron...
Pet peeve threads that turn in to 'things I hate about shul' threads
Pet peeve threads that should be posted in the Top Reasons To Go OTD thread
Is there no difference between when something annoying happens to you and a pet peeve?
Waiting in a very long line at BJ's only to realize when you're up next, it's cash only.
