My BIL does that ALL the time. If he doesn't respond to me after my first hello, I just hang up.

lol that sorta happened last night. got a rep from amazon on the phone and at that exact moment my 2year old decided it would be a fun game to yell at the top of his lungs for as long as he could. I politely said i'm so sorry let me move to another room and felt really bad for the rep that she had to hear that.

It's one thing if I call you and you happen to be mid bite. It's quite another if you're eating lunch and think now is a good time to call Stbaum. I have news for you. I will hang up the phone. I've done it to customers. To my (old) boss, and to one other person I don't want to say. I feel it's the most disgusting thing you can hear over the phone. I literally lose control.
It happened again today during a conference call and my (new) boss was sitting right there and I couldn't hang up. I couldn't say anything. All I could do was take deep breaths and hope nothing important was being said because all I could hear was chewing.

Am I alone here?

I can't stand these "knowledgeable" CVS cashiers who think that I'm only allowed to buy 1 GC per purchase making me do 4 purchases.

I'm asking him why he doesn't do all 4 together, he replies I'm working here long enough that I know that you can't... I wanted to tell him I'm doing it long enough that I can tell you that you can...

Mikvah surge pricing is wrong, unethical, immoral and probably illegal.

I understand that the askonim and machers need to make yom tov, but this is just killin me.

The surge prices are to support the mikveh. Many (maybe most) people just got YT time, they can afford to pay a lottle extra for the mitzvah. All the poeple who go every day will be paying alot more if there was no surge prices.
So basically they are helping the "more holy (so to speak)" people.
