Lack of respect for peoples' time is the brick wall.
The brick wall (if one exists) is the lack of client/provider relationship.
The "providers" don't see the patients as their clients, as it is not they that pay, but rather the insurance companies (mostly medicaid and medicare).
The patients on their side, don't feel that they're entitled to much, as they aren't the ones paying, and don't feel like they are in any position to bargain about the service or the price.
Do you really think this situation would go on if each and every person coming for service would have to write a check for it?
