How a thread can be dormant for 3 weeks, then all of a sudden when someone comes around with a pet-peeve, 6 other people also have something itching them...
If I see one more Parshas Noach cartoon, or meme, or whatever on Whatsapp or FB I'm gonna lose it.
How about "Reminder, there's no Eiruv Tavshilin this week" messages?
People who put a tablecloth for shabbos on the table in shul...then put the pen they just picked up from the table, right back on top of the tablecloth.
People who complain about the people who actually do things.
Whats the issue?
Well the pen can't be used on shabbos. The tablecloth is being put on specifically for shabbos, and then the pen, which isn't permitted to use on shabbos, is being placed right back on the table.
Sometimes, people are more helpful when they don't help. Well the pen can't be used on shabbos. The tablecloth is being put on specifically for shabbos, and then the pen, which isn't permitted to use on shabbos, is being placed right back on the table.
Left out that the pen can't be moved except under certain conditions.
OK the suspense is killing me. Why can't it be used or moved?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MuktzehI'm not sure if this helps or just makes it more confusing...
Helps. I understand the logic behind turning lights on/off. What's the logic behind not using/moving these items?
It all stems from the 39 basic principles of Shabbos. These are all incorporated into those rules, whether directly or as a subcategoryhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activities_prohibited_on_Shabbat
