When Amazon says "order within 13 hours to receive your order tomorrow" so you wait in case you think of anything else, and then an hour later when you go to place the order, the bandaids don't qualify for one-day shipping anymore and you need to go find something else to reach $35.

Just saw this. Likewise when using a restaurant CC on the 3x points Friday to buy $100s in future credit and only getting 1x because it is categorized as an OFFICE SUPPLY store! Go figure.

An ATM is for deposits or withdrawals only. Don't be sitting there and checking balances etc

You mean the fact that the merchant is offering you the chance to save 3-4% instead of just adding it to your invoice automatically?

More annoying is the vendors that take CC at no extra charge (which means they include the % automatically) and don't offer a discount for check payment.

Everyone I talk to says it happens to them also, there's obviously something going on and why hasn't it been picked up by the media yet?

Just got a brand new version of this. Got a call from 800-997-1468. Picked up just to hear a recording saying (in perfect American English) "Welcome to Bank of America Chinese voice department, start recording now" and then a message in Chinese.

What's all this about?

Yes. I get those all the time. And that J P Morgan Chase is in a heavily Chinese accent. The one I posted today starting off in English saying Bank of America is a new twist.

Sometimes I think these guys do it on purpose to get the companies to work on anti robocall technology (which I think the phone companies finally started getting a move on recently).

Me too...from a 212 phone number. I asked the guy that picked up after I pressed 1 to fahng un fin unfahng...he didnt understand Chinese obviously.
