You can add a stop if you have a specific route you'd like.

Not exactly the same as Google themselves originally offered the route but then it decides to change it for me.

Sometimes I do that which is another pet peeve of mine. Along with the names of the roads not being easily visible when it's on the route as I believe I posted here before.

Speaking of Google Maps, today the smartphone I was using for navigation broke when I was on the highway going somewhere I was not familiar with... I ended up opening a laptop on the passenger seat and using a hotspot to get directions on my browser, and I had to follow them the old-fashioned way, without my location updating.

I had it a couple of weeks ago was going to drive all the way up on NY-17 during midnight and Google maps gave me alternate routes due to the 17 being closed between certain exits, showing that entire area on the map in dotted red. After driving for 15 minutes in pitch black side roads it was paralleled with the 17 and I realized nothing is happening on the 17, I merged right back and ignored the alarming protests of my phone.

Google maps is some sort of scam!
I was driving the Palisades towards NYC and towards the end before the bridge where you could keep right for the regular toll booth/ramp or go left to go into town and get to the bridge from there.
Google maps said keeping right is 10 minutes longer then going left into town, I knew this didn't make sense so I kept right and boom the ETA stayed the same!!!

People who hang up signs on BMG's bulletin board selling an item they bought for $500 for a 'discounted $490', not revealing (usually due to not knowing) that it's available on Amazon for $375 and even if it's not, the buyer would've had the option of returning the item if it's defective had he bought it from a big box retailer (a benefit worth far more than the $10 of savings).

Same goes for local stores when they try these silly stuff. Like the one store that put out Magic bullet blender during black Friday week on a table outside with flashy signs "$39.99 only", when up until today it's $15 at Walmart, the place from where he stocked those up.

I once read a work of fiction (I can't seem to find it on Google) in which a character said something along the lines of
"I'd like it if the phrase 'with all due respect' was followed, just once, by some sentiment that was actually respectful."
